If you’ve enjoyed the uplifting safety of Speaking Circles and have also wished to feel more comfortable with your singing voice (even if you don’t think you have one!) this session is for you!

If you've ever wanted to sing in a chorus; wished you could sing along with friends (perhaps in church, or around the campfire); wanted to feel more comfortable singing the Happy Birthday song; or even just get more out of singing by yourself, this session is the perfect first step! If you’re already a singer, you’ll find this evening of vocal exploration fun and affirming!

In this unique, non-judgmental & explorative workshop you’ll have the opportunity to…

• Discover & freely explore your own natural voice

• Begin to move through any singing fear

• Take home skills to start you on your way!

After we establish the safe Speaking Circle environment, through a combination of games, improvisation and simple songs we’ll explore different aspects of the voice. Discover the joy of your unique voice and let go of that old idea that singing isn’t for you! We’ll have Speaking Circle turns during the evening to share your process.

Nancy’s speaks:

“Everyone can learn to sing, and the benefits are many. Singing is something that brings people together, brings us closer to ourselves, and allows for a unique and wonderful kind of self-expression.

So many people think that they can't sing — and many have been told that they shouldn't even try," says Salwen. "But when you finally get a chance to let lose and try it, with a group of wonderful supportive people, some of whom are also just starting out, it's amazingly empowering and world-expanding. This is the experience people have in the Fear of Singing Breakthrough workshops."
